Here we meet a young Napoleon Bonaparte, who has just begun his infamous Italian Campaign. The fledgling general's success is at stake when a spy makes off with important dispatches. Desperate to find the documents, and a bit of respect, "The Little Corporal's" heroic posturing is challenged by a saucy Italian innkeeper, a bumbling lieutenant, and a mysterious lady, who engages this would-be Caesar in a battle of wits that could leave him altogether defeated.
